At the base of DYSEUROPE, is the abc - method of De HAAN. Its effectiveness has been recognized for more than forty years in the Netherlands

In 1965, Dr. Willem de Haan, psycholinguist and researcher in languages, was initially confronted with the phenomenon of dyslexia. How is it that a child who speaks normally has difficulties with reading and writing his own language?” Dr. De Haan began to write his first language rules that finally lead to a revolutionary method in its simplicity, effectiveness and flexibility.

DYSEUROPE was created in 1996 by Marlène Merlivat, when she began working with Dr. William De HAAN, inventor of the method. She took up the challenge to adapt his method to other languages, and thus make it accessible to the largest number of individuals. In collaboration with Dr. De Haan, English, French and German versions have been developed and finalized. Spanish and Portuguese are currently undergoing development.

DYSEUROPE is an online assistant and editor as well as an axis of assistance and information for parents confronted by dyslexia.
